     Larry Leo Beeler

Larry Leo Beeler, 66, of Marcelline, passed away at 8:51 PM Friday, September 7, 2007 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. 

He was born on July 23, 1941 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of the late Leo and Carlene (Holtman) Beeler.  He married Carolene Nichol on November 25, 1964. 

A 1959 graduate of Unity High School, he served in the US Army from 1959 to 1962, serving 18 months in Korea.  He was a self-employed carpenter with his father in Beeler Builders.   

He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Ursa and a former member of the Ursa Lions Club and Ursa AMVETS # 76. 

Surviving are a daughter Tammy Beeler of Lake Dallas, TX, three sons Stacy Beeler of Marcelline, Wayne Beeler of Fowler and Curtis Beeler of Ursa, grandchildren Mathew, Jaydon, Bryant, Hannah, Jesse, Kolbee, and a soon to be born grandchild, two brothers Lyle Beeler of MO and Leaton Beeler of IL, two sisters Linda Stine of IA, and Lola Patterson of CA. 

Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at New Providence Cemetery in Ursa with Revs. Jack Perdue and Laurie Hill officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the US Army Burial Detail.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon.  Memorials are suggested to the charity of one’s choice or to the family.
